dr. daub
Dr. Amber Daub

Growing up with many pets including dogs, snakes, iguanas and rodents, Dr. Daub felt a strong connection to animals from a very young age. A Colorado native, she completed her undergraduate work at Colorado State University as a double major in Biological Sciences and Zoology. During her studies, she completed internships at a sea turtle conservation center in Costa Rica and at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo in Colorado Springs. These experiences solidified her interest in veterinary medicine. She graduated with her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University in 2014. Dr. Daub was very excited to have the opportunity to return home to Colorado and has been part of the outstanding staff at Loving Family since July 2014.

Dr. Daub is passionate about preventative medicine and promoting the human-animal bond. Her professional interests include dentistry, behavioral therapy and senior/end of life care. She is also AAHA Animal Hospice and Palliative Care Certified. Dr. Daubs Family includes her husband Andy and her two dogs, a terrier mix named Eva and a lab mix named Nellie and their adorable daughter, Madilyn born in May of 2018. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, hiking and skiing.

Dr. Ratchford
Dr. Brice Ratchford
Originally a South Carolina native, Dr. Ratchford grew up thinking he was going to go to culinary school. In 2005, he got what he thought would just be a summer kennel assistant job at a local veterinary clinic. During that time he developed his passion for veterinary medicine and ended up working at the same clinic all through undergrad until the day he left for vet school in December of 2013. Dr. Ratchford graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2017 after spending the first 2.5 years of school in St. Kitts in the Caribbean and a year at University of Wisconsin – Madison for clinics. After graduation, he began working in Chicago and surrounding suburbs at a general practice and emergency clinic group for 3.5 years. In October 2020, he decided he wanted a change of scenery and to find a place to call home, so he made the move from Chicago to Denver. His interests are in general practice of dogs and cats including internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, and diagnostic imaging. Outside of work, you can find him exploring Colorado and its many craft breweries, hanging out with friends, concerts and theatre shows, board and video games, and relaxing with his 3 dogs and 2 cats at home. Dr. Ratchford is thrilled to be part of the team at Loving Family Animal Hospital!

Izzy, Client Care Specialist

I grew up with love and compassion for all animals. I love being around them as much as I can. I have many pets of my own, ranging from dogs to rats to even a pet tarantula, but my whole world is my puppy, Nacho. I like to spend most of my free time playing with Nacho and taking care of all my pets.

I’m so excited to be part of the team and can’t wait to grow and learn more in the Veterinary workplace!

She graduated from the Community Collage of Denver Veterinary Technician program in 2020 with the goal of learning more about animal rehabilitation and physical therapy with a special focus on dogs as they are very close to her heart. When she’s not at Loving Family helping animals, her passions include spending time at her favourite bookstore, watching horror movies, eating spicy food, rocking alternative fashion, writing, and playing with her three dogs — a German Shepherd named Lola, a Chocolate Lab named Lucky, and her special needs Siberian Husky named Snow.
